MacFarlane Generators are a premium company offering gen sets for hire and sale from the smallest to biggest self contained power units available.

Darche Swags are an iconic Aussie brand that have pioneered the swag market for well over 20 years. We thank both for their support and look forward to testing and using their products across many more trips.

Holden have a long standing reputation as Australia's leading car manufacturer and the release of the Colorado 7, a full 7 seater wagon based on the class leading Colorado ute, is a massive step forward for the Australian 4wd scene. As a new entry into the mid size 4x4 wagon market, the Colorado 7 provides a capable and well priced option. With a true low range transfer case, a well engineered 5 link coil rear end and a string of other features, the Colorado 7 is set to be a hit with Australian 4x4 enthusiasts.

Dalyston Mud Racing

A very sad day for 4wdriving and an unfortunate end to what was a faultless day at the Wonthaggi mud drags Sunday. Our hearts go out to those injured and their families and our thoughts will be with all for a speedy recovery.

This unfortunate accident was a freak occurrence on a part of the track that many highly experienced competitors, event organisers and media would never have dreamed it possible. All of the correct safety measures were in place and I am still at a loss to explain how it could have happened but the important thing now is to support and console those effected, learn and move forward to protect against such an unfortunate event occurring again.

I would like to thank those who helped us with the crowd, those who dialled 000, the attending Police, CFA and Ambulance and the 4wd Mud Racing Association members on site. At this stage and to the best of our knowledge all patients are stable and doing well. We will do our best to keep you updated on any further news.

What happened Sunday is massively unfortunate, it is sad and I am still struggling with what I witnessed when clearing the crowd and consoling the injured and their families. No one ever wants to see any one injured let alone children. But please let's be clear on a few things: Priority 1 is for the care of those injured and their family.

I have been involved with mud racing for 10 years. I am a past Aus champion and in making 4wd TV I have been to more 4x4 motor sport events in the past 8 years than anyone I know. I believe the track Sunday was set in a safe manner. I even drove the track in one of the race cars. The incident Sunday was an unforeseen freak accident. Photos of the scene are misleading and correct safety measures were in place.

Every day we get out of a bed there are risks, crossing the road, eating out, going to work ... all involve risks and people are severely injured doing these things every day.

Hundreds die on the roads every year and no matter how many airbags, crash barriers, speed limits, etc they add ... accidents will happen.

As a community we can learn from this and plan to make things safer. But it doesn't matter how many concrete barriers you add to the track, the roads or your life ... accidents may still happen ... and as unfortunate as this is ... the 4x4 motor sport scene over all in Australia has a very good track record for safety.

Let's please all send our deepest heartfelt and positive thoughts to those injured, their families and all concerned.

New Sponsors

Proving to be a proactive and ethical advertising medium has been some what of a natural evolution for the team behind 4wd TV. We are proud to be associated with the industries leading companies and have graciously turned down many who did not scrub up in the quality of their service or products.

This ethos has seen us pick up five new major sponsors in the past few months and we are very excited to announce partnerships with Donaldson Filters, TRED 4X4, Mean Mother Winches, Superior Engineering and Water Watch. Each offers a distinct and elite range products and whilst their support of 4wd TV is hugely appreciated, their involvement will bring a new and exciting edge to our productions.

To top this off, the show’s host Simon Christie has been working behind the scenes with local manufacturer Holden in producing a series of 4x4 videos based on their latest 4wd range. Click here to see the first video outlining how to safely use a tow chain. Recognition from and involvement with such a manufacturer is another step forward for 4wd TV and indication of our status within the industry.

YOUR4X4 Series 8

Kicking off in Feb 2013, Series 8 of YOUR4X4 on Foxtel will be something new and exciting from our team. In August this year our main sponsors joined us for a ten day trip up through outback SA, across the Simpson Desert and down south to Broken Hill.

Filming a full episode each day, the entire ten week series will give our viewers an intimate insight into what we saw and experienced. There are plenty of tips along the way, bush mechanics, flora and fauna and the sort of friendship akin to like minded adventurers in such amazing remote locations.

This will be a true expose of the real adventure, as it happened along the entire trip. From split fuel tanks through to howling dingoes, this is one series not to be missed.

4wd TV Welcomes Superior Engineering

We are very excited to announce that Australia's leading provider of serious recreational 4x4 gear, Superior Engineering has come on board as a supporter and sponsor of both 4wd TV and 4wd ProTips.

Staff from Superior Engineering will soon be guests on both TV shows and their wealth and diversity of 4wd knowledge will be a big boost in educating our viewers. As always, please support those who support us, without these generous sponsors we would not have a TV show.
